Details

Attack on the Russian town of Novitska during the Crimean War by the 'Miranda' and 'Brisk', English ships in the squadron in the White Sea. The Illustrated London News states that Novitska was burned to the ground on 23rd July 1854 as a result of this intense bombardment.
