Description	Attempt to assassinate King Alfonso Xiii of Spain 1906
Details	King Alfonso XIII (1886 - 1941) of Spain and British Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg (1887 - 1969), the only daughter of Princess Beatrice and Prince Henry of Battenberg and grandaughter of Queen Victoria. Narrowly escaped death by an assassination attempt on their wedding day. The couple married at the Church of San Geronimo in Madrid, after the ceremony they were driving through the streets when a bomb was thrown, which struck their carriage, they escaped unscathed.
