The famous string of racing greyhounds from the Melksham Kennel of Mr H Sawtell, sold at auction at Aldridge's Repository in August 1932, and realising a sum of nearly ú1400. The best price (110 guineas) was paid for Melksham Grisel, by Melksham Tom out of Melksham Quite Happy.
