Soldiers of the Army Service Corps relaxing in the canteen on Bottle Bush Down during their Autumn Campaign in Wiltshire, England. Their pet dog is wearing a medal, the Illustrated London News tells us, which is usually awarded to those of the corp who served with the Military Train, under Generals Cameron and Chute, in the New Zealand War of 1864.
