Details

Using outdated, traditional tactics including close formation advances and cavalry charges, the German advance through Belgium suffers a temporary setback at the Battle of Haelen. With concerted rifle fire and machine guns quickly moved into position by dogs, the Belgians were able to repulse the more traditional German cavalry charge.
