The battle of Kambula, one of the less well-known battles during the Zulu Wars. The sketch shows the laager of wagons behind an entrenchment on the left, and in front the British tents lying on the ground; in the centre of the image is a line of British soldiers and the redoubt with guns on the summit, with the cattle laager to the right. Zulus are attacking from the plain.
