A state banquet held in the White Hall of the Great Schloss in Berlin to celebrate the forthcoming marriage of the Kaiser's only daughter, Princess Viktoria Luise of Prussia, to Prince Ernest Augustus of Brunswick- Luneburg, son of the Duke and Duchess of Cumberland. On the left hand side of the table, Queen Mary sits next to Kaiser Wilhelm II, close to a lavish table decoration, and opposite King George V chats to the Kaiser's wife, Empress Augusta Victoria.
