A pretty young woman in pink blouse hugs a long-haired grey cat. Illustration by Raphael Kircher reproduced in The Illustrated London News Christmas Number. Kirchner's pin-ups in The Sketch were incredibly popular during the Great War. This is a rather more sedate picture, more suitable for a family magazine.
