Description | Better Days at the London Hippodrome |
Details |
Page from The Illustrated Sporting & Dramatic News showing scenes during the "Beads" number in the 'Better Days' revue at the London Hippodrome in 1925. The scene's theme meant that rows of beads descended down onto the stage creating a forest of beads, with other representations of coral, jade etc. A reflection of the popularity and fashion for bead necklaces at the time. Also visible are the tasselled beads which were often seen in the sautoir style of necklace.
