First World War scene with woman wearing the uniform of the Women's Legion (Women's War Services Legion). The Legion provided all kinds of services including cooking for the Army, driving, clerical work and land working. This particular member in her smart uniform of navy blue has provoked a disconcerted expression on the young lad loitering on a corner.
