Description | Boulton and Park arrested for wearing women's clothes |
Details |
Ernest Boulton and Frederick William Park, also known as Stella and Fanny, arrested at the Strand Theatre for incitement to commit an unnatural offence, by going around London at night in women's clothes. As the wearing of women's clothes was not an offence, and homosexual activity could not be proved, they were acquitted at their trial in 1871.
