Details

Brighton, a view of the 'Old Aquarium', looking towards Kemp town, the Aquarium was erected by a joint stock company at a cost of £130,000 and opened in Austust 1872. To the right the chain pier which was washed away in a storm in 4 December 1896 has gone.
