Description Britain's first veteran car museum
Details

An article in The Illustrated London News, reporting on Britain's first veteran car museum, owned by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. Exhibits include an 1898 Daimler Tourer, an 1895 Leon Bollee Tri-car, and a 1898 Benz, as well as the original silver Rolls Royce mascot the spirit of Ecstasy , and the Montagu motor car trophy. Lord Montagu is pictured waving from in his 1903 de Dion Bouton estate car, still in use as an estate car.
