Colonel Younghusband's mission to Lassa:the punishment of the recalcitrant Tibetans at Guru. Fighting breaks out during parley between the British and the Tibetans. The Tibetans were armed with swords, leather cannon and long oriental matchlocks, which were no match for the heavy musketry and fire from two quick-firing mountain cannons.
