Captain Bruce Bairnsfather, famous for his cartoons of trench humour in The Bystander during the First World War seen at the wheel of his Sunbeam car with an aluminium car mascot in the shape of the character, 'Old Bill,' his most famous creation. He would be charged for speeding in London the following year in the car.
