Masthead design for a post-war edition of the Bystander magazine featuring one of its main 'stars' the cartoon character created by Bruce Bairnsfather, Old Bill (a curmudgeonly World War One soldier) dressed in an evening suit and raising his glass to make a toast. The other people around the table, are drawn by various Bystander artists - Wilmot Lunt, Helen McKie, H.H. Harris, Arthur Watts and Herbert Pizer.
