Photograph showing the illuminated advertisements that were on display in Cambridge Circus, London, 1923. At that time, these illuminations were something of a novelty, drawing crowds nightly. This photograph was clearly taken with a long exposure, hence the slight blurring in the foreground and absence of traffic.
