Details |
Photograph of the party given by famed dress designer, Captain Edward Molyneux at his French Riviera home, the Villa Capponcina at Cap d'Ail. Thrown to inaugurate his new swimming pool, the dress code stipulated guests must wear beach outfits. There were arc lights, fireworks and an American orchestra. The guests shown here clearly having a rather good time are, from left to right, the Duc de Verdura, M. & Madame d'Estainville, Lord Donegall, Cecil Beaton, the Comtesse de Vallambroso, Captain Edward Molyneux and the Hon. Katharine Norton. Molyneux enjoyed great success as a designer in France with branches in Paris, Monte Carlo and Cannes.
