Description Captain Scott and his tent
Details

Artist's impression of Captain Scott writing in his diary in his tent during his expedition to the South Pole in which he and his four companions perished. He sits in a sleeping bag, and writes by the light of a candle while the snow covered sledges used by the team can be seen outside.
