Cartoon, A Derby Spill -- a satirical comment on Benjamin Disraeli's attack on the Palmerston government during a debate on the Budget. Following on from the 1 June cartoon, he is shown here with his donkey cart overturned, while the Liberal party drives on in its horse-drawn open carriage. The Liberal party's Budget was voted in by a small majority, after a long debate.
