Cartoon, A Devotee of "The Doctrine, a satirical comment on the Mexican Revolution. A Mexican man wearing a small sombrero and two bandoliers across his chest and waist holds a smoking gun as he places a wreath labelled 'Grateful Homage from General Villa' at the foot of a statue bearing the inscription 'To the memory of President James Monroe, Doctrinaire. 1758-1831. No European Intervention.' This is a comment on General Huerta receiving arms from Germany during the Mexican Revolution.
