Cartoon, Dr Dulcamara in Dublin -- a satirical comment on the radical Liberal MP John Bright's visit to Dublin, where he was invited to speak. He is portrayed as a quack doctor, holding up a bottle of medicine (Radical Reform). Dr Dulcamara is a character in a comic opera by Donizetti, L'Elisir d'Amore, whose sale of a supposed love potion sets the plot in motion.
