Cartoon, Gulliver and the Brobdingnag Farmers -- a satirical comment on Benjamin Disraeli's attempt to compensate Agricultural interests by proposing to transfer two million pounds of local taxation to the Consolidated Fund. The motion was lost by a small majority. The reference is to Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift.
