Details |
Cartoon, Injured Innocence and His Billet-Doo. Napoleon III, French Emperor, dressed as a wolf in sheep's clothing, posts a Billet Doux (love letter) to Madame Britannia. In an accompanying poem he justifies his annexation of Nice and Savoy, as well as his response to foreign affairs in other countries such as Syria, and of course he never had any intention of invading Britain -- he is and always has been a man of peace.
