Cartoon, Napoleonism! A satirical comment on the reign of the French emperor Napoleon III (1852-1870). Although he was responsible for reforms and developments, this cartoon focuses on some of the more negative aspects -- the Massacre of December, events in Mexico and Cayenne, and strict press censorship.
