Details |
Cartoon, The Angelus. A woman and her two children stop their work in the fields to pray, thinking of husband and father fighting at the front, as depicted in a cloud. Possibly a reference to a painting of the same name by Jean-Francois Millet. The Angelus prayer is traditionally said at 6am, noon, and 6pm every day, sometimes prompted by the ringing of a bell.
