Cartoon, The Infant Hercules -- Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937), strangling the twin snakes of Ocean Cable and Land Telegraph with his new Wireless telegraph system. Marconi was an Italian inventor, known for his pioneering work on long distance radio transmission and for his development of Marconi's law and a radio telegraph system.
