Cary Grant (1904 - 1986), film actor, shown here with his Scottie dog. Born in Bristol as Archibald Leach, Grant moved to the US in 1920 and to Hollywood eight years later. He was to become a master of sophisticated light comedy and one of Hollywood's most popular and enduring stars.
