Charles Roach Smith's collection of London antiquities in his house in Liverpool Street, City of London, purchased for the British Museum. Charles Roach Smith (1807-1890) was an antiquarian and amateur archaeologist, whose collection of antiquities found during London excavations or dredging of the Thames formed his Museum of London Antiquities.
