Details

Christmas tide at war shrines: gifts for the fighters' children, 1916. Father Christmas(aka the Reverend G. C Morrow) distributed gifts with the help of ladies and soldiers home on leave, to a crowd of enthusiastic youngsters. The patriotic procession halted at every war shrine in the parish, and was organised by the Reverend B.S Batty, Rector of South Hackney.
