Claire Luce an American actress was engaged to Wing-Commander J. W. Gillan, D.F.C, R.A.F, during the Second World War she played to the troops on behalf of E.N.S.A. She is photographed with the R.A.F mascot doll, which was sold all over London to raise funds for the war effort.
