Closing the Olympic Games ceremony at Wembley Stadium, London, on the 14th August 1948. The white Tribune of Honour was placed before the Royal box (occupied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duchess of Kent, Princess Juliana of Netherlands and Prince Bernhard).
