Details

A Yeoman warder pinning up the Lord Chamberlain's notice on the Wakefield Tower in the Tower of London, announcing that owing to the removal of the Regalia the place will be closed until May 17. Before the Coronation, the jewels were held at the court jewellers, Garrard, where they were being furbished.
