Description | Club in the Latin Quarter of Montparnasse, Paris, 1920s |
Details |
A scene in the bohemian environment of a club in the Latin Quarter of Montparnasse, Paris, during the 1920s. The Graphic comments, "Cocktails, odd dresses and odder attitudes give an air of abandon and sensationalism to Strick's, the Dingo, and other haunts of the Anglo-American "Latin" Quarter in Montparnasse). In the centre sits a woman with cropped hair and androgynous dress, a black musician plays the banjo and the expert hands of a bartender makes a cocktail in the foreground.
