Description Colliery disaster at Seaham 1880
Details

The colliery disaster at Seaham, explorers descending the pit to rescue the men below. Over 160 lives were lost in the explosion which was caused by shot fired in an area of stone were there was a large concentration of dust. No one in the immediate area survived and many more dies after rescuers were unable to reach them.
