Christopher Columbus and his brothers Bartolomeo and Giacomo (also called Diego) are being led in chains through a crowd to the gangplank of a ship, to be taken back to Spain for trial. Columbus and his brothers were charged with gross misgovernance due to the 23 accounts of torture, mutilation, and abuse of colonial subjects.
