Description | Consul the monkey |
Details |
Consul the chimpanzee, the 'man monkey' who delighted audiences at the Hippodrome, Aquarium and other venues in the early Edwardian era. He sadly died in 1904 of bronchitis, no doubt due in part to his heavy smoking habit.
