First sight of King George VI and his consort, Queen Elizabeth after they had left Westminster Abbey for the processional drive back to Buckingham Palace. Illustration shows their Majesties crowned and carrying sceptres, seated in the magnificent Gold State coach and accompanied by Yeoman of the Guard and other attendants in livery of red and gold.
