A scene of excitement in the royal box at Royal Ascot when the Queen's colt, Choir Boy, won the Royal Hunt Cup on 17 June 1953, a fortnight after the Coronation. Among those who can be seen in the photograph are the Duchess of Kent (white pillbox hat, clapping), Princess Margaret, the Duchess of Gloucester, the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II.
