An artist's impression of the first stage of the Coronation ceremonial procession on 12th May 1937 as King George VI passes up the nave of Westminster Abbey from the West Door, his Royal Crimson Robe of State contrasting with the blue carpet on which he treads, 173 ft long, made in one piece by Glasgow workers.
