Coronation of King George VI with every detail planned. The threshold of Buckingham Palace as the great gilded coach of State drawn by its richly caparisoned team of Windsor greys swung out from the courtyard at the start of the historic journey to Westminster Abbey. The element of symmetry in the vast open space around the Victoria Memorial where the crowds gathered and soldiers stand.
