Details |
Procession to Westminster Abbey, London. Down the Mall came the Procession, between the standards and banners which took pride of place among all London's design for decorations. Behind the coach and the standard and its immediate esort, rode the King's brothers, Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, and the Earl of harewood, Lord Louis Mountbetten and the Earl of Athlone, all personal aide-de-camp to His Majesty. Sir Philip Game can be seen on the right of the coach and the white feathers of the two Field Marshals the Earl of Cavan and Sir William Birdwood just behind the Standard.
