Details

A large hole in the hull of the Imperial Airways flying boat 'Corsair', the result of a forced landing on the River Dangu, Belgian Congo (Zaire) in March 1939. After repairs, one failed attempt to take off in June 1939, and the construction of temporary dams to create lakes, the flying boat took off in January 1940, and finally reached England on January 15th
