A costume for the Eclipse Ball, a pageant ball to take place on 17 December at the Park Lane Hotel, London, in aid of St John's Hospital, Lewisham. The theme was A Thousand and One Lights, with sixty performers. Shown here is the Begum Aga Khan as Venus, to appear in the Night tableau. Andrée Joséphine Carron (1898–1976) was the third wife of the Aga Khan III, and was known as Princess Andrée Aga Khan.
