PRINCE VICTOR of HOHENLOHE-LANGENBURG (1833-1891), also known as COUNT GLEICHEN. Officer in the Royal Navy, and a sculptor. Carlo Pellegrini, (aka Ape) was commissioned in 1871 to produce caricatures of the 400 members of the Marlborough Club, which had recently been established. However, he completed only 20 portraits before dropping the project in 1873
