Description | Free Meals for London's Poorest Citizens 1910 |
Details |
In response to people dying of starvation on a regular basis in London The Graphic established free meal depots in many of London's poorest districts. Here, on every week day in winter, either hot soup and bread or meat, vegetables and pudding were distributed. The scene here is of the Holloway Depot, in the Mission Room in connection with St. Saviour's Church.
