Actor and entertainer George Davy Burnaby (1881 - 1949), caricatured by Garretto in The Bystander. Burnaby appeared in numerous films but was also well known for forming The Co-optimists a revue troupe of well-known stage actors who performed at various theatres. This caricature was published at the time The Co-optimists were appearing at the London Hippodrome in May 1930.
