Details

Raymond Asquith (1878-1916), eldest son of Prime Minister H. H. Asquith, Earl of Oxford, lawyet, and member of the group of Edwardian intellectuals known as the Coterie. Killed in action at the Battle of Flers-Courcelette on 15 September 1916. Picture published in The Bystander on news of his death alongside one of his wife (who he married in 1907), Katharine Frances Horner (1885-1976).
