Description | Decca gramophone advertisement, WW1 |
Details |
An advertisement for the Decca portable gramophone, with no loose parts and ready to play directly opened. The gramophone was recommended for taking to the Front during the First World War and it is suggested here as a way to keep cheerful. The illustration depicts a couple of soldiers, possibly on sentry duty, standing by the entrance to a dug-out to enjoy the strains of music from the gramophone played by two officers inside.
