One of the many attempts on Pyotr Arkadevich Stolypin's life. Photograph showing the destroyed assassin's carriage and the remains of the balcony, where Stolypin's two children were sat. The scene shows a chair, covered in blood were Stolypin's daughter was sitting and the doctor who came to her aid. Stolypin, a Russian statesman, became Governor of Saratov in 1903, and helped suppress the revolutionary upheavals of 1905. This resulted in his assassination in 1907 while in Kiev.
